Accessibility Statement

How we measure it

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2 level AA, as our target for the website and as a guide for the iOS and Android apps.

Based on our self-assessment completed on 12 August 2026, The Uni Deals is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts do not fully meet the standard. This assessment was completed by our own team. It was not an independent accessibility audit.

What we have built in

• The website has a skip link, labelled navigation, clear page landmarks, and a visible focus indicator for keyboard users.
• Form fields have visible labels. Required fields use the native required state as well as a visible marker.
• The website's custom select can be opened and used with a keyboard. It exposes combobox, listbox, option, selected, and expanded states.
• Many controls, including navigation actions, custom select options, and footer links, use a minimum 44 pixel target. Form controls use a separate border colour chosen to keep their edges visible against light and dark surfaces.
• The website reduces transitions and animations when your browser reports a reduced motion preference.
• The website has complete light and dark palettes. Your choice is saved. The website does not change theme from the operating system setting.
• The apps support platform text scaling. The fixed-size pass card limits text growth to keep details inside the card, but its expanded detail view scrolls and honours the full text size.
• The moving holofoil on the pass stops when reduced motion is enabled. It is decorative and does not carry information that is missing from the pass text.
• Pass QR images have accessibility labels in both apps. Both apps also give the pass card a named action that opens the detailed pass.

Languages

The iOS and Android apps have an app-wide English and Urdu choice. Choosing Urdu changes the app layout to right to left. Email addresses, codes, brand marks, and QR images stay left to right where changing direction would make them harder to use.

The website is mainly in English. Individual brand pages can switch available offer titles and descriptions to Urdu. That Urdu offer text is displayed right to left. The rest of the website does not yet have an Urdu translation.

Known limitations

• We have not completed an independent audit or a structured testing programme with screen readers, voice control, switch access, or other assistive technologies.
• The pass card is a fixed-size visual object. At the largest text settings, the card limits text growth and moves the QR to the expanded detail view. The expanded view is the version intended for reading at full size.
• The in-store QR flow needs a camera to scan a poster. Both apps also provide a field for typing the poster code, so the flow can continue without camera access.
• Deal pages are assembled on the server from live offer data. Their shared page structure has been reviewed in code, but live combinations of partner-supplied content have not been tested with assistive technologies.
• Some offers link to a partner brand's website or checkout. We do not control those third-party services, and they may have accessibility barriers of their own.
• Urdu support on the website is limited to available offer content on brand pages. It is not an app-wide website language option.

We will acknowledge accessibility reports as soon as we reasonably can and tell you what happens next. If a page or screen is unusable, ask us for the same information or help in another way.

Enforcement and status

Pakistan does not have a direct equivalent to the European Union's EN 301 549 framework or the United States ADA web rules. This is a voluntary commitment by Avenith.

The Uni Deals has not publicly launched. We will revise this statement as the product changes, as testing improves, and as we learn about barriers from the people using it.
