Choose how your discount runs.

Three ways to hand out a code, or skip codes entirely. Most merchants start with unique codes.

Recommended

Unique codes

You generate a batch of one-use codes on your platform and send us the list. We hand exactly one to each verified student, and every code we hand out is registered to a named account.

Shopify

Discounts → Create discount, then set your amount or percentage off. Use Shopify's bulk discount code generator (or the free Bulk Discount Code Bot app) to create as many one-time codes as you need in one batch. Set the usage limit to one use per code, export the list, and email it to us.

WooCommerce

Marketing → Coupons → Add coupon. Set the usage limit per coupon to 1 and repeat for as many codes as you need, or install a bulk coupon generator plugin to create the batch in one go. Export or copy the list and send it to us.

Any other platform

If your platform can export a list of one-use codes, that works too. One code per row, plain CSV, emailed to hello@theunideals.com.

Shared code

One code, works for every student. The simplest way to start, but a shared code can leak past our list, so we rotate it with you every month. It suits in-store, percentage-based deals best.

In-store pass

No code at all. Staff ask for the student's pass, scan the QR, and our check page shows their name, university and a big, unmistakable verified result in under two seconds. Nothing to install at the till.

Every student is verified
University email or a reviewed student ID, and passes expire.
Every reveal is logged
Each code goes out against one named account, never anonymously.
Daily limits per student
No one account can reveal an unlimited number of codes.

An abused code is traced back to the account, and the account is suspended.

How do I stop or change a deal?

Email us. Changes land the same day, no forms to fill in.

How do I report abuse?

Email us the code. We trace it back to the account that revealed it and shut it down.

Do I need to integrate anything?

No. If you want the widget on your site, it is two lines of HTML; a Shopify app with auto-generated codes is next. Either way, the email route above works on day one.
